Ride the Tide to Prosperity

The Law of Attraction that we've been discussing is a natural law of the Universe. In other words, so long as we live in harmony with the law, all we need to accomplish our dreams will come to us in a non-frantic, natural way. I bring this up because it is really important that we calm down and allow nature to run its course. Let me cite three examples in nature: We don't rush the baby, whenever possible, we let it have 9 months to develop. We can't rush a seedling, pulling on it to make it grow faster will cause it to die. We can’t rush the tide, it must go all the way out before it will begin to come all the way in.

Life has its ups and downs... it is the natural rhythm of life. In order to succeed, we must learn to ride the tide instead of fighting it. How do we do that? How do we continue to hope for prosperity in the middle of a setback?

When you are on a “down,” know that the up is on its way, just as the tide comes in and goes out, predictably. When you worry that things are going badly and you can’t see the end of your misfortune, remember, nature simply doesn’t operate that way. Don’t get trapped in a downward emotional spiral by thinking that things are bad and only going to get worse! That is just as absurd as watching the tide go out and thinking “Oh dear… there goes our shoreline forever! I suppose the whole ocean is going to disappear!”

Be patient. Look for evidence that the tide is returning. Look for evidence that things are turning around for YOU. Look for evidence of prosperity on your horizon. If you look hard enough, you’ll find it… and as you focus on an upturn of events, you will be preparing yourself to receive some great rewards; one being that you will figure out better, more efficient, more desirable ways to make money.

If the tide doesn’t seem to turn around as quickly as you hope, think on this: we must plant our dream seeds properly (as described in The Jackrabbit Factor), and then relax. We must simply go about our activities in a peaceful way, knowing that because we planted the seed, nature needs time to do her part, too. (We need to allow the tide to reach its lowest level before it will begin to return again.)

How can you apply these ideas to your situation? Let’s switch back to the seed analogy. The minute you start to feel anxiety about your goal is the same minute you must remember the seedling. Just because you don't see the fruit yet, you know that it is coming. You might not even see the sprout, but you trust that something is happening beneath the soil. That's how I approach my goals. I plant them by doing what Richard did in The Jackrabbit Factor, and then I do the things that come to mind in a calm, deliberate way. I might go a long time before I see any evidence that my efforts have made a difference. But I know they have, so I keep on keeping on, expecting that in time, I'll see a sprout. Besides knowing this, I know that there is some critical personal development going on at the same time.

Furthermore, when I see a little sprout pop through the surface of the ground, I don't pull on it to try and make it bring fruit immediately. Patience and confidence are two of the most critical elements for enjoying wealth and prosperity. Confidence is important because it is by your faith that the seed will continue to grow. Don't forget how much influence your thoughts have over the circumstances you experience. If you lose confidence, then your doubtful thoughts alone have the power to kill the seedling.

Maintain faith at any cost. Believing is a choice… you can choose to believe in prosperity.

Prosperity Tip: God is Never Late

Sometimes in our quest to reach goals, choosing a date for your goal is one of the hardest parts. It's easy to fret: "What if I pick a date that's too soon?" or "What if I set it too far out, and it doesn't need to take so long?" Or, "What if it doesn't happen on the date I chose?"

My Dad taught me long ago that God doesn't always come when you want Him to, but He's never late. I think about that whenever I set a goal for a certain aspect of our prosperity goals that doesn't quite happen on the date I chose. I also think about one of the most powerful analogies related to goal setting I've ever heard, which happens to be rather relevant to something going on in my life right now...

When a woman is pregnant, she and her doctor check the charts and determine when the baby is due. That is not unlike the date you set for accomplishing a goal. When a goal is set properly, the person setting the goal picks a date that is far enough away to be relatively believable, but close enough that it feels a little scary. How is that like a baby's due date? Well, the date we set is nothing more than a prediction of how long we expect it to take for the goal to mature into what we want it to be... at the same time knowing that amazing things happen after committing the goal to paper.

I think that's why some people never set the goal, because they get too worked up about choosing the perfect date for it.

Are we going to be wrong sometimes? Of course we will, but that is not a reason to discount the goal setting process. Think about it: How rare is it, really, that a mother delivers the baby on her due date? Is it okay that the doctor was not accurate? Of course! The goal doesn't change just because it didn't arrive on the due date.

Here's where a lot of people blow it. They set a goal to make money or something else related to prosperity in general, and set a date for the completion of that goal, and when it doesn't happen by that date, they throw it out thinking that the goal setting process related to the law of attraction didn't work as claimed in Jackrabbit Factor. Because of their attitude at that moment, the very success that was nearly theirs draws back and they never realize that if they hadn't mentally given up on it, it was only going to take just a little longer.

How does a woman feel when the baby doesn't come on the due date? Does she think "I guess I'm not going to have a baby after all."?

NO, in fact, if she goes overdue, she will become more excited and more convinced that it will happen at any moment. We need to look at our goals the same way. If it doesn't come when we want it to, we must remember that God doesn't always come when you want Him to, but He's never late... in other words, if it doesn't arrive "on time", then it probably just wasn't quite done cooking.

You don't want your goal to arrive half-baked. Let it finish developing. When it misses your "due date", get more excited, not less, knowing that it's nearly done, and it's only a matter of time. Be grateful instead of disappointed, because when it finally does arrive, it will be more of what you wanted than if you cashed in before it was done cooking.

Too many people try to create wealth in shortcut ways. They don't allow themselves time to grow and develop into the kind of person who will handle the prosperity properly. So when you don't get a multi-million dollar inheritance, or you don't win a gameshow, be grateful, and allow the wealth-building process to take the time it needs to develop in a stable, strong, methodical way. Prosperity can be yours; set goals. Follow your dreams, and be patient with the process. It needs to go hand in hand with your personal development, and change takes time but the time it takes is worth the wait.

The Stickman Concept for Prosperity

Ever since I launched 'The Jackrabbit Factor: Why You Can' back in August of 2005, I've had a lot of questions come my way about the principles contained in that story. In response, we often hold an introductory seminar to answer some of those questions. Depending on which instructor is teaching at the time, you may hear a little bit of MY story, and how the book came to be; you'll learn about the stickman concept and how this one simple idea has been the most succint, empowering idea ever to hit the world of success psychology EVER, in my humble opinion.

It is a profound explanation of how your mind really works, and how to overcome fear. It helps you identify and deal with your present limiting beliefs. In fact, after I learned the 'stickman' concept about six years ago, I finally understood precisely why anxiety always preceded a major life improvement. Just knowing what it meant and why it was there gave me the understanding I needed to push through my barriers into the life of prosperity I wanted. It took the mystery out of how to make money, and helped us bring the 7 principles of the law of attraction out of the textbook and into my own life.

Ways to Make Money and Prosper

So the Universe is abundant, huh? Full of opportunities for prosperity, is it? Well, have you ever wondered where all the money is hiding?

The only thing keeping us from a bucket load of money is our own resistance to creativity, a God-given attribute that often gets squelched in our childhood by well-meaning adults who needed us to conform for one reason or another. Conformity is absolutely imperative, IF what we conform to is Universal Law. The problem is, most adults aren't aware of these Universal Laws, otherwise known as Principles of Prosperity so there may be some unlearning we have to do. Truly, creativity IS still a part of us, and just needs to be revived.

When faced with the question: 'Where will the money come from?' Your new answer must always be: 'Wherever it is now.' See, it exists, and it's coming your way as you take strides to live by the 7 laws.

According to Wallace Wattles, we should make a living doing something we love. Part of the psychology behind that comes from the fact that if we feel good, then we will attract more of the prosperity we want. How difficult it can be to feel good doing something you hate... and how hard it is to expect abundance when we're continually putting off downer vibes.

Be inspired by a few stories of others who have managed to make money in a big way doing something unusual. Honestly, there is no limit to the ways you can make money! Uncommon Business Blog will show you a few. Remember, we do not lack because there is lack... the Universe is absolutely abundant. We only lack because we have not learned the 7 Laws of Success. Lots of people call it the law of attraction, but in reality, the law of attraction may actually be considered a broad term for the 7 sublaws. If you don't know anything about the law of attraction, or if you've had a hard time understanding how and why it works, you'll want to read up on the 7 sublaws of success.

Lack comes from violating even just one of the 7 laws of prosperity. Once we understand them, and strive to live in harmony with them, the heavens open up and the blessings flow! Puts new meaning on the term "Hidden Treasures"!
