Hidden Treasures News Flash - Prosperity Principles in Action!

Hidden Treasures became a national bestseller last week! I only found out by a fluke... and may have been the only one on earth to notice. Here's the strange story:

Okay, so my objective this summer was to finish creating the extensive Family Time & Money Freedom home study course as shown at our Prosper Your Family site before school started, because I’d be home schooling three of our children, and I knew the time I’d be able to spend on it would be reduced significantly. (The homestudy course is being created and designed to be an affordable, more convenient alternative to our $1500 3-day seminar.) Anyway, seeing my summer rapidly coming to a close, my husband said, “Leslie, go check into a hotel for the next two days and see how much you can get done.”

So I did.

Me, my laptop, a pile of materials, and virtually NO distractions for nearly 48 hours. It was like getting a month’s worth of work done in a blink. I missed my kids and struggled to leave, but two days at one shot was going to be a better alternative than one more month into their school year.

At about 1:00 am I needed a break and had a thought to go check Amazon and see what’s going on with Jackrabbit Factor lately. While it ranked #5 at BarnesAndNoble.com during our launch two years ago, the best it ever did on Amazon was #116 out of more than 4 or 5 million books.

No, I’m not about to tell you that it beat its own Amazon record. In fact, when I checked, I think it was somewhere around #50,000 (which is still in the top 1%, so it’s really nothing to complain about).

No, the thing that surprised me the most was that Hidden Treasures had become a national bestseller at #74 in the Money and Values category.

I didn’t expect to see that... but how glad I am that something nudged me to go look. I may have never known. I followed it occasionally for the next few days and it eventually climbed to #35. Here’s a screenshot.

Here I've spent the last 2 years promoting Jackrabbit Factor as our flagship product to appeal to the widest audience, and Hidden Treasures shows up as an Amazon bestseller without taking the time to campaign for it.

As one reader put it: “I couldn't put it down. I'm glad I read ‘Jackrabbit Factor’ first …but ‘Hidden Treasures’ is the one I will be going back to over and over.” Mark. So I still recommend Jackrabbit first, but for those who want more meaty explanations of how it all works, Hidden Treasures really fills in the blanks.

An interesting note about Hidden Treasures… we finished the audio cd of the book a couple months ago, and as I was reading it at the studio, I came to some parts that I felt needed some updating. I’ve learned a few things since it was published in 2005, and added that insight to the audio. But then I felt like the paperback should also reflect those changes, so I updated the book as well.

By the way, if you want the updated version of the paperback, it is NOT available in stores until the old stock runs out, but it IS available right now at our online bookstore.

Learn the seven universal laws of success and discover how to finally have peace and prosperity amid the storms of life. The laws are real, and they really work to help you prosper. When they don’t seem to work, there’s just a little more awareness and understanding that needs to happen and it all begins to fall into place. Keep learning! Keep growing! Keep at it, you’ll be glad you did!

Prosperity is no accident. Even though the book became a best seller on its own, it happened as a result of natural law. Find out how you can enjoy prosperity by learning and abiding the Universal Laws of Success described in Hidden Treasures.

Finding Peace and Prosperity in the Storm

Serenity is, according to James Allen, the supreme accomplishment. He describes how we shape our lives by our thoughts, and how we create a life of joy and bliss by thinking lawfully… or we create a life of misery through unlawful thoughts.

Joy and misery are NOT measured by what happens TO you. Rich people can be miserable, and poor people can be full of joy. Poor people can be miserable and rich people can be full of joy.

I happen to believe that some of our greatest joys will come from growing and becoming all we can be. If the lack of money prevents us from doing that, then we should use the principles to obtain plenty of money.

Our thoughts are the only domain over which we can have ultimate control. All other areas of our life are affected by our thoughts. We react to situations and get results based on how we view and process the data input that comes into our minds.

Peace and tranquility comes through self mastery. SELF mastery. Not environment mastery. When we stop waiting for circumstances to improve before we can be happy, and start finding happiness NOW, then the laws of success cause a response in the world around us, and our circumstances finally begin to change. It’s learning to feel peace in the storm. It’s not “peace without a storm…” it’s “peace in spite of the storm”. Prosperity, then, becomes a natural byproduct of your increased level of serenety.

While we live on this earth, we will face challenges. It is a necessary part of life, because without opposition we do not gain experience, strength, or wisdom.

Adversity is part of the blessing, and when we begin to accept and embrace it for what it is, we begin to experience the peace and true prosperity that is ours to enjoy.

I like to think about the story of the farmer who complained that everything was always bad. God said to himself, “You think you have it bad now? Hmmmm…. I’ll show you! Just you wait… I’ll show you what bad really is!” and things got worse for the farmer.

On the other hand, another farmer expressed gratitude for everything, even his hardships, even without understanding why the hardships were good. He prayed: “Thank you for the challenge, because it helps me grow.” God thought, “You think you have it good? Hmmmm…. Just wait… I’ll show you what good really is!” and things only got better for the farmer.

“The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence, his power for good. Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom.” James Allen

Adversity before Prosperity

Many times, when people begin to intentionally apply the laws of thought to create or attract prosperity into their life, what ends up happening instead is that life appears to be falling apart.

That’s completely 100% normal and, in fact, necessary.

Why?

Let me explain. I’d like to borrow an analogy from Price Pritchett’s book, You2 (“You Squared”). Every major undertaking gets messy in the middle. When a person discovers an internal physical ailment that requires surgery, on the road to wellness, as they lay on the operating table, it would appear that a murder has taken place in the room. Take a snapshot of that moment in time, and yes, it would appear that things had only gotten worse.

Changing your life is like major surgery. Take a snapshot of any given moment in time, and it would appear as though things have only gotten worse. Success requires determination and focus on the end result, with an understanding that it will very likely get messy in the middle, and in fact may appear as though you’ve gone backwards.

It’s easy to think positive when things are going well. It’s when things appear bad that you have that golden opportunity to think truth in spite of the appearances. The challenge is an opportunity that most people overlook, resist, or outright fight.

When you set a goal to prosper, life will always bring you an opportunity disguised as a challenge. If you refuse to give emotional energy to the bad (deal with it, but unemotionally), and maintain emotional enthusiasm and expectancy for the good hiding in it (no matter how long it takes), then you pass the test and enjoy the success.

I guarantee that all who enjoy true, bona fide prosperity, the people you admire, have been required to endure the same process. You see their success and are seldom aware of the internal struggles they faced.

The process is predictable and unchanging. Most people start on this path, face challenges, and conclude that this law of attraction thing is a hoax. The few who experience that amazing breakthrough to genuine prosperity will, in hindsight, attest to this process.

So when you face untold opposition, see it for what it is, and realize that it wouldn’t be there if you weren’t truly on your way to somewhere fabulous. Say it out loud: “This is GREAT!” and keep going.

The adversity IS the opportunity. Why?

Because the reward of prosperity is literally a product of adversity, mental toughness, and tenacity. Without the adversity, the formula is incomplete and there will be no success. So start calling the adversity good instead of bad, and it will prepare YOU to attract the solutions, and in time, the prosperous reward.
