Get paid to do Something you Love
I've been following Kevin Thompson and I'm so impressed. Thankfully, he's given me permission to share excerpts from one of his blog posts that hits the nail on the head:
Kevin says,
Talk about having a job where you get paid for doing what you love. This lady and her husband get to spend their time traveling the country, doing what they love, and getting paid for it.
And just in case you’re thinking, “Oh, I could never do something like that”, I happen to know that up until 9 years ago, they had NEVER done this before.
In fact, the lady of the husband wife team had absolutely NO previous experience at this.
But…
Once she was exposed to it, she LOVED it.
She was hooked.
And now, she and her husband have turned this passion into their life’s work.
Now, I’m not suggesting that you do what they do, but I AM suggesting that it’s high time you start getting paid for doing something you love.
Recently I shared a video with my readers and gave them yet another example of a local business owner in my area who’s doing some incredible things:
Funny thing is, every other business that was ever in this location has failed miserably.
Yet this guy is doing what none of them could accomplish. He’s running a booming business and making a huge profit.
So how can that be?
How can this guy’s business be doing so well, when everyone else who came before him did so poorly?
Well, there’s two reasons:
1. He loves doing what he does.
2. He understands the importance of good marketing.
Those who watched the video I shared, saw his incredible marketing in action. They saw him take a situation and leverage it to his benefit. They saw him packing in the people, and having fun in the process.
Most people get into business solely to make a buck. That’s their driving motivation.
Now don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with making money. Making money, and lots of it is a VERY good thing.
But… if that’s your sole driving motivation, you’re doomed to failure from the beginning. If you truly want to be successful in what you do, it’s critical that you LOVE what you’re doing.
For example:
There are plenty of people in the “how to make money on the internet” and “how to have an online business” niches, which are the niches people mistakenly think I’m in.
That being the case, I have plenty of competition.
And those who don’t take the time to read my emails, view my blog posts, participate on my training seminars and get to know me – mistakenly assume that I’m just like everyone else.
But, if you’re reading this right now, you know that’s not true at all.
You know that I’m COMPLETELY UNLIKE anyone else.
Far beyond having an online business, I show you how to have a business that pays you for doing what you love.
A business that allows you to have a positive impact on other people’s lives by providing them with something of true value.
A business that provides for, and fits into the lifestyle you really want to live.
That’s what separates me from all of my competition. That’s what attracts people to me. That’s why people refer their friends and family to me.
(Leslie: And why I'm referring my readers to him!)
Isn’t it about time you start getting paid for doing something you love?
Because I’ve got to be honest here, life is FAR too short to waste time (and go broke) doing something you hate.
Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson
